Valentines Day 2010  Chipper, the cat writes    I am doing so well.  I am happier now since my playmate Mo2 arrived.  I take a nap on the bed with him.    I lick him and take care of him.   We wrestle for fun.  I massage him to spoil him.  Today is my Dad’s birthday.  So we sent him a birthday card with our picture. Dad liked it. Thank you for raising me.  I am having such a good life with my family here at Hilton House. Have a Happy Valentine’s Day. Love, Chipper (aka Chip)

February 3, 2010 Phyllis writes  Thank you so much for your incredible kindness!!  I really appreciate your help with the cats.

February 2010 Susan writes  My “little ones” are not so little anymore!  Tiger and Bunny, aka “Bun-Bun” are still cute and delightful, and rule the house.  Bun-Bun seemed sort of like a ‘runt’ when I got her from you, and now is bigger than Tiger.  They both have distinct personalities and give Dave and I so much pleasure.  Thank you so much.

January 2010  Lizz writes   Hi there! I bought a little medium hair black kitten from you this past Sunday, I believe his name was Dewie. I have a few concerns about him…he seems to slowly be adapting (hiding under my bed for the most part) which is perfectly fine. He definitely is clinging to me the most which is another great thing, and he is such a silly boy I love it.  However I’ve been very concerned by his appetite.

False alarm! Coincidentally right after I finished writing that email last night I sat down with him and put the bowl in my lap and he ate all of his food. Perhaps he just needed the comfort of someone to formally tell him it was okay for him to eat (even though I have showed him where his food and water is multiple times). When I got home from school today he had devoured all of the dry, wet, and canned food I had put down for him prior to last night. He is also starting to act like a normal extremely playful kitten. He woke me this morning by slinking under the covers and rolling over and over like a crocodile would while in attack mode. Hopefully in the next couple weeks I can introduce him to the dogs and other rooms besides my bedroom.
Thanks for all your help,
Lizz

Christmas, 2009  Susan writes  Thank you for all you do for the cats & for helping us get our “found puppy” back to his owner this year.

Christmas, 2009   The Alberts write   Thank you so much for giving us our most precious gift of 2009.  “Pixie” is the center of love for our home and we adore her!  We so admire you for your tireless dedication & hard work to help other “Pixies” find loving homes.  Happy Holidays

December 2009  Steve & Blanca  write   Over the past couple of years, with Charlene’s limitless help and advice, we’ve been able to bring our neighborhood feral cat colony under control.  She’s provided animal traps, food samples, holding cages, and great advice on trapping over 20 kittens and cats so they could be neutered or spayed.  It took us almost two years to finally trap the “Mother” cat responsible for all the litters.  I’m not sure who was happier, us or Charlene.  In addition, for an unbelievably low cost, Charlene has taken all these kittens and cats to the clinic in Auburn where they get fixed, de-wormed, treated for fleas, and a first round of shots.  And finally, Charlene has helped us find nice homes for the kittens we couldn’t keep as part of our family.  To us, Charlene is a “cat angel” who works tirelessly to bring feral cat colonies under control while improving the lives of these wonderful animals.  We can’t possibly thank her enough for the kindness and assistance she’s provided us.

November 2009  Lorrie writes    Hi Charlene, I don’t know if you remember me our family adopted one of your kitty’s a few years ago, his original name was “mel” I came across the adoption papers when going though some boxes in my closet , I’ve been wanting to contact you and tell you how “spike” was doing , well he;s spoiled rotten he sleeps with my son every night  at the end of his bed, and keeps our dogs in check, when one of the dogs wander into my son’s room he can’t wait to tattle on them, he wants them out of “his” room. He is still such a wonderful sweet cat and a great companion for our son, thanks again for giving us such a sweet kitty.
